Understanding Regular Polygon Area Calculator
A regular polygon has equal sides and equal interior angles. Area equals half the perimeter multiplied by the apothem: A = 1/2 × P × a.
Worked Example
For a regular hexagon (n = 6) with side s = 5 cm: apothem a ≈ 4.33 cm, perimeter P = 30 cm, Area = 1/2 × 30 × 4.33 ≈ 64.95 cm².
