Deriving Diameter Directly from Sphere Volume
When calculating volume in terms of diameter, the formula is:
By multiplying both sides by 6 and dividing by π, we isolate \(d^3 = \frac{6V}{\pi}\). Taking the cube root gives diameter \(d\).
Finding Diameter from Other Measurements
- From Radius: \( d = 2r \)
- From Surface Area: \( d = \sqrt{\frac{A}{\pi}} \)
- From Circumference: \( d = \frac{C}{\pi} \)
