Converting Geometric Volume to Liters
Because centimeters are standard for measuring household objects, converting cm³ to Liters (L) is the most common real-world conversion:
Conversion Rule: 1 Liter = 1,000 cm³ (or 1 mL = 1 cm³). To convert cubic centimeters to liters, divide by 1,000.
Example
A spherical fishbowl has radius r = 15 cm. How many liters of water can it hold?
V = 4/3 × π × 15³ = 4/3 × π × 3375 = 4500π ≈ 14,137.17 cm³
In Liters: 14,137.17 / 1000 ≈ 14.14 Liters.
